Blog Post #6- Seven minute superstition

Superstitions are sort of funny when you think about it. A superstition is a type of belief of behaving that is based upon fear of the unknown and different types of fate in magic or luck. Most superstitions are associated with good luck or bad luck. For example, a popular superstition is that when a black cat crosses your path, it will bring you bad luck. This is not proven as true or false but it is a belief that people will try to avoid if they think it is true. Another is never walking under a ladder or opening an umbrella indoors. These are all negative superstitions that people believe is dealt with upon fate. However, the good luck or bad luck is not the case for every superstition.

Your brain is one of the most important parts of your body. When your body officially gives out, your brain continues to work. It is said that when you die, your mind plays back seven minutes of your life good and bad. Scientists have said that your brain is still active for seven minutes or more they are just unsure on what happens in those seven minutes. It is like you are given a second life all over again except this time it is planned out for you. Since there is no research or anything to prove this superstition there is no way to know if it is true. Lucky enough for me, I am given the opportunity to plan my own ending since this is the plot of my film. Death is scary but inevitable. Knowing this could be the potential ending is a sense of relief.
