Blog Post #18- Change in actors
In my film it consists of two main actors that repeatedly show up throughout the film. Mia will be kept as one of my main actors. However, due to different schedules I have to replace Chelseys actor.
Now I knew that timing would be a problem with my film. Chelsey just recently moved and I can not wait for when she comes back to town to begin filming especially with the deadline approaching quick. To fix this problem, I wanted to chose an actor that Mia is still familiar with so that she feels comfortable. The actor I have picked is someone me and my protagonist are both friends with who I confidently believe will perform phenomenal.
This is my new protagonist Abalenna (Abby). I met Abby through Mia and I know how well they connect with one another. I strongly believe that Abby and Mia will portray the emotional connection that I am looking for between my two protagonist. Both me and Mia have expressed to Abby how important this project is, that I trust she will be able to do what is asked and still make the film good.
Choosing two characters that already have a connection will make the acting a lot easier. If they already get along together well I feel like the acting will not be bad, rather enjoyable. While deciding to change actors last minute can be risky, it had to be done.
