Blog Post #33- Symbolism

Symbolism in film is using different things to symbolize specific themes and meanings throughout a film. Different films use different things as a way to represent something. Symbolism represents depth and meaning conveying ideas and emotions. For example:

Lion King: Circle of life

Snow White: The apple

Cinderella: The glass slipper

Tangled: The flower

Toy Story: Andys signature

Different films use different objects as a way to convey meaning. For my film, my symbol is a car. In the beginning of my film, my two characters are involved in a car accident. The car represents the plot of my film and it continues to show up as that constant reminder. A car shows up on smaller projects and is generally associated with my film.
