Blog Post #45- Party practice
One of the flashbacks with my two characters is a party scene. There are many different things that go into creating this kind of scene. When working on filming the other day, I decided I wanted to try different angles and lighting techniques so that when it comes to filming the final scene, I am aware on what to do.
Some things I have realized is that I am going to need people to fill the background. To do this I am posting an advertisement on the social media account in order to try and get people to submit a resume. Once I have people to fill the background we will shoot the final scene.
For the sound aspect, I will be putting a soundtrack within the background. While I do not know what the soundtrack will be it will consist of something upbeat. The scene is meant to be loud and show that there is a lot going on. If there is any dialogue it will be brief.
Something I am content with is the camera angles. I like the close up shots when they take the "shots" (contains water). It then cuts to an overhead shot of them dancing. This captures that they are not 100% sober but also shows that they are having a good time. We then cut to the bedroom which shows them passing out. The angles used helps show what happens to them.
When we do the scene another thing we will work on is the lighting. When attempting to film this the first time it was still light out. As shown in the picture below, you can see the light coming out through the blinds. No matter how much you adjust the lighting to make it appear darker it does not change the fact you can see light coming through.
